Fixed package after photo assessment

Photo-qualified appearance restoration for the complete removable brass component set on qualified five-burner Gaggenau VG491 cooktops in New York City.

View the Restoration Result

Restore a qualified complete five-burner VG491 brass set to an agreed achievable appearance.

The displayed package price covers the accepted complete set, labor and materials for the defined restoration scope, model-specific handling, correct reassembly, and the bounded completion observation described below. Soil condition and technician hours never reprice an eligible package. The displayed amount is the service-package price before applicable sales tax; any required tax is calculated separately and shown before acceptance.

This cosmetic service is only for a cooktop that operates normally. The gas-odor instruction shown before the assessment CTA follows NYC311. Delayed ignition, abnormal flame, persistent sparking, damaged burner hardware, or another functional concern belongs in cooktop repair. The cosmetic photo assessment is not repair intake and does not create a paid repair or diagnostic appointment.

When This Service Makes Sense

  • Before listing or handing over a property: Improve the presentation of an existing working cooktop without promising a change in property value or sale speed.
  • After moving in: Address visually tired brass components on a cooktop that came with the home.
  • For an appearance-focused owner: Restore a qualified complete set because the kitchen's finish matters even when the cooktop already works.

Service scope prepared by Volt & Vector. Project photographs are used with authorization for this service page. Volt & Vector is independent of Gaggenau; no manufacturer authorization or endorsement is claimed.

The project photographs show the same five-burner Gaggenau cooktop before and after the appearance work, followed by a close installed detail.

The supplied project sequence and visible cooktop geometry support Photo 1 and Photo 10 as a cooktop-level before-and-after pair. The images do not independently prove that every removable part is the same part, or establish the exact E-Nr, treatment method, operation, ignition, flame quality, leak testing, or gas safety.

What the Standard Package Covers

  • One recorded component set: The accepted existing removable brass components across all five positions are inventoried and restored together.
  • Agreed appearance target: The written scope records visible limitations such as scratches, pitting, material loss, heat marks, prior abrasive damage, and tone variation.
  • Drying and model-specific reassembly: Treated components are dried fully and returned to their required positions. Removed pan supports or grates are replaced correctly before operation.
  • Limited completion observation: When no repair or safety symptom is reported or observed, the controls are used normally after full reassembly to observe ignition and visible flame behavior.

The completion observation is not a gas-system inspection, combustion analysis, adjustment, repair diagnosis, or safety certification. Any operating or safety concern stops the cosmetic-service path.

The package does not include the stainless steel basin, grates or pan supports, control knobs, replacement parts, appliance movement, gas or power disconnection, or repair work. Only separately approved outside-scope work, replacement parts, or building-required charges may sit outside the displayed service-package price; each must be disclosed in writing before acceptance. Applicable sales tax is calculated separately and shown before acceptance.

Is Your Cooktop Eligible?

Acceptance requires:

  • a complete five-burner Gaggenau set whose E-Nr is VG491210CA/01 or VG491211CA/01;
  • the complete E-Nr, including its suffix, before the service is accepted;
  • a complete existing removable component set across all five positions;
  • no reported operating or safety problem;
  • access to the removable parts without moving the appliance or disconnecting gas or power; and
  • components within the accepted condition and material range.

Provide an accessible rating-label photograph when possible. If the label cannot be reached safely, use the complete E-Nr from appliance records. Do not move or disconnect a built-in cooktop to find the label.

Missing pieces, cracks, deformation, substantial material loss, plated or coated parts, uncertain material, and restricted access fall outside the standard package. VG295, other VG491 suffixes or markets, other configurations, and other brands require a separate assessment; this page does not promise them the fixed standard package.

How the Service Works

  1. Initial screening. We review the first message described under Start With One Photo for basic fit and any repair symptom. Gas odor follows the emergency instruction shown before the assessment CTA and does not enter photo assessment.
  2. Complete qualification if it appears to fit. We then request the complete E-Nr, the close-ups needed to evaluate all five positions, known prior treatment, missing or damaged parts, and relevant building-access requirements.
  3. Review the written scope. Before acceptance, it states the included components, finish limits, exclusions, service-delivery and scheduling terms, any separately approved outside-scope work, replacement parts, or building-required charges, and any applicable sales tax calculated separately. This page does not create unstated terms.
  4. Restore the accepted set. The observed condition must match the assessment before treatment begins. Completion includes drying, correct reassembly, appearance review, and the limited operational observation when appropriate. A material mismatch requires a new written decision.

What You Know Before You Accept

The initial photo review does not create an appointment or a charge. If the set appears eligible, the written offer must state whether the work is performed onsite or offsite, the expected visit count and turnaround, whether components leave the home and how custody and return are handled, building-access requirements, scheduling terms, deposit and cancellation terms, and applicable sales tax. No appointment or deposit is accepted until those terms are provided.

What the Finish Can and Cannot Promise

The agreed result is an achievable appearance for the existing metal. It is not a promise of factory-new metal, one exact gold tone, removal of every scratch or pit, or a permanent bright finish. Brass changes color again with cooking and heat.

Start With One Photo

Use this intake only after the safety screen above. Gas odor follows the emergency path shown before the CTA; any ignition, flame, sparking, or damaged-hardware symptom belongs in the linked cooktop-repair path.

For the first message, send only:

  • One assembled-cooktop photo: Show the complete cooktop in its current condition.
  • NYC ZIP code: Give the service location.
  • Operating condition: Answer yes, no, or not sure when asked whether the cooktop operates normally. A no or not-sure answer involving a functional symptom belongs in the repair path above; gas odor belongs in the emergency path.

Let the cooktop cool and leave it assembled. Do not turn it on or operate it for the assessment. Do not apply another product, use tools, move the appliance, disconnect utilities, expose an inaccessible label, or recreate an ignition problem. If texting is unavailable, email the same first-step information.

If the request appears suitable, we will ask for the complete E-Nr and only the additional close-ups and history needed to make an eligibility decision. Photographs support cosmetic qualification; they do not diagnose an operating fault or replace repair intake.

Gaggenau Brass Burner Restoration Questions

Can I book only one ring or part of the set?

The standard package is for a qualified complete five-burner VG491210CA/01 or VG491211CA/01 set. A partial set or another model falls outside that package and is not automatically priced lower. It requires a separate written decision before scheduling.

Can you provide a COI for my building?

Yes. Send the building's COI and access requirements before scheduling so they can be handled with the appointment.

How should I care for the burners afterward?

Follow the instructions for your exact model and finish. Use the related Gaggenau brass-burner routine-care guide linked below for safe cleaning limits. Stop before altering burner ports, opening the gas path, forcing a component, or using a method not allowed for your model.
