Feasibility and access requirements depend on the service address and building type, such as a walk-up or elevator building. Where can I read real customer reviews for appliance repair in NYC?

Our Google Business Profile shows the most up-to-date reviews and recent jobs. Feel free to check it.

Pricing & Payment

How much does appliance or AC repair cost in NYC?

We diagnose first, then provide a clear written quote for parts + labor before any repair begins. No work starts without your approval.

What is your diagnostic fee for appliance / AC service calls in New York?

Appliance diagnostic fees are $150 in Brooklyn, Astoria, Long Island City, Scarsdale, Eastchester, and Bronxville; $265 in Manhattan below 96th Street. HVAC diagnostics, including AC, are $220. The diagnostic visit covers on-site testing and documented root cause + recommended next steps.

Is the diagnostic fee applied to the final repair cost?

Yes — the applicable $150 or $265 appliance diagnostic fee, or the $220 HVAC diagnostic fee, is credited toward the approved repair on the same job.

Will I get a written estimate before repair work starts?

Yes, always. We provide findings + estimate before proceeding (except very minor instant fixes you approve verbally on the spot).

Are there any hidden fees or extra charges for NYC service calls?

We disclose everything upfront. Possible pass-through costs: building garage/parking fees, service elevator reservation, roof / mechanical room access coordination.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit/debit cards, digital wallets and electronic payments. Special building billing or check requirements may affect payment arrangements.

Appliance Types & Service Scope

Which household appliances do you repair in NYC?

Major appliances: refrigerators (including built-ins), freezers, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, microwaves, and ventilation hoods. We also repair and maintain ductless mini-splits, split-system AC, heat pumps, air handlers, thermostats, and condensate drainage systems.

Which brands of appliances and AC units do you service in New York?

We regularly work on Sub-Zero, Wolf, Miele, Thermador, Bosch, Gaggenau, Viking, ILVE, Liebherr, Samsung, LG, GE Café, GE Profile, GE Monogram, and many others. Coverage depends on the exact model and serial identification, including the indoor and outdoor units for AC.

Do you repair built-in refrigerators and panel-ready appliances in NYC apartments?

Yes. Built-ins and high-end cabinet-integrated units are among our most frequent calls. We plan careful panel and cabinet access and protect adjacent finishes throughout the repair.

Can you fix sealed system or refrigerant problems in refrigerators or AC units?

We diagnose cooling failures including compressor, evaporator, valves, and leaks, and clearly explain whether the repair falls under sealed-system scope, EPA 608 requirements, and feasibility at your NYC location.

Do you service gas ranges and ovens in New York City?

Yes — residential gas appliances. We check ignition, flame pattern, and safety shut-off valves. If you smell gas, even faintly, leave the area immediately and take others with you. Do not investigate the leak, light a flame, operate switches or appliances, or use a phone inside. From a safe distance outside, call 911, then your gas service provider. Stay outside and follow the emergency responders’ and gas provider’s instructions.

Do you install new appliances or AC units, or only repair existing ones?

We specialize in repair and maintenance only. We do not perform full installations or replacements. If minor adjustments such as leveling, clearances, or drain routing are needed for a safe repair, we explain the options.

Warranty & Parts

What warranty do you offer on appliance and AC repairs in NYC?

Completed repairs are covered by a 180-day (6-month) parts and labor warranty for the repaired issue. Read What the repair warranty covers for coverage and access limits. Ask your technician for the warranty details at the time of service.

Do you use original (OEM) parts for repairs?

Yes — genuine OEM parts whenever available and appropriate for reliable long-term performance.

Can I provide my own parts for appliance or AC repair?

Possible, but we must verify compatibility first. Customer-supplied parts may affect warranty terms (especially boards, sensors, compressors, HVAC controls).

How long does it take to get parts for repairs in New York City?

Common parts — 1–4 business days. Specialty / backordered items (especially premium brands or older HVAC platforms) can take longer. We keep you updated.

Will an independent repair void my manufacturer warranty?

Not automatically. For U.S. consumer product warranties, using a paid independent repairer generally does not, by itself, void the manufacturer's warranty. Coverage still depends on the written warranty and applicable law; damage caused by outside work may be excluded. Manufacturer-paid warranty work is a separate route: follow the manufacturer's claim and service-authorization process before arranging paid independent work. The manufacturer route and our paid independent service are separate options when an appliance may still be under factory warranty. Do not assume the manufacturer will reimburse an independent visit.

Diagnosis & Process

Which appliance or AC checks are safe?

For a routine, non-emergency fault, safe visible checks include settings, visible power/breaker or outlet conditions, accessible water supply and hose kinks, obvious airflow blocks, user-accessible filters, and any displayed error code. Do not open covers, move or unstack equipment, disconnect utilities, or repeatedly reset a breaker. If an AC unit is leaking or has visible water puddles, stop use; use a control only if you can reach it safely without touching wet electrical equipment. Do not restart an unsafe appliance to reproduce the fault.

How are appliance access and building requirements handled?

Appliance access can involve the indoor unit, thermostat or outdoor condenser for AC, as well as building rules such as COI and elevator requirements. See Building COI requirements for certificate-holder details. Technical access is handled by the technician; building management and the technician coordinate restricted access. Do not move or unstack appliances, remove panels, disconnect utilities, climb onto roofs, or enter locked mechanical areas.

What determines an appliance or AC diagnosis?

Model and serial identification, displayed error codes, the actual symptom, and installation conditions such as built-in, stacked, closet or rooftop access help distinguish the relevant diagnostic checks. Symptoms can include leaking at the front left, no cool air or failure to drain. Do not move equipment, enter a roof or locked mechanical area, or restart an unsafe appliance.

How long does a typical service call last in New York City?

Diagnostics: 30–90 minutes depending on access and complexity. Many repairs finish same day if parts are in stock; others need follow-up visit.

Will the technician need to pull out the appliance or remove panels?

Often yes — especially in tight NYC kitchens / closets. We explain steps and protect floors / cabinets.

Post-Service & Safety

What happens after the repair is completed?

You receive documented what-was-fixed summary, post-repair test results (temps, airflow, cycle, drain check). We point out preventable issues (filters, loading, drainage) to avoid repeats.

What if the same problem returns after repair?

Within 180 days, warranty service is priority. Contact us if the same repaired issue returns.

Do you follow clean and safe work practices in NYC homes?

Yes — drop cloths, surface protection, communicated testing, responsible old-part disposal. For burning, sparking, or a major leak, stop using the equipment immediately and arrange qualified service; prioritize safety before repair.
