E25 means the dishwasher cannot drain properly. The usual causes are a blocked drain pump, debris around the pump impeller, or a pump cover that is not locked into place. A kinked or clogged drain hose/air gap can also cause it.

Try this

  1. Switch off the dishwasher and disconnect the power at the plug or circuit breaker.
  2. Remove the lower basket and take out the filter assembly.
  3. Clean the filters under running water.
  4. Sponge or scoop out any standing water.
  5. Remove the small drain-pump cover beneath the filter. The exact release method varies by model.
  6. Carefully remove food, labels, bones, glass, or other debris from around the pump impeller. Wear gloves and do not reach in blindly, because broken glass may be present.
  7. Refit the pump cover firmly until it clicks into position, then reinstall the filters. Bosch specifically notes that a loose cover can trigger E25.
  8. Check that the drain hose under the sink is not kinked or clogged. Clean the sink air gap, if fitted.
  9. Restore power and run a short rinse or cancel/drain cycle.
If E25 returns after everything is clear and correctly fitted, the drain pump may be damaged or there may be a blockage deeper in the drain system, requiring service. The model/E-Nr from the inside edge of the door will identify the exact pump-cover procedure.
